This work was inspired by The Life of the Bee written in 1901 by Belgian author Maurice Maeterlink. It is a poetic treatise on bees that is more about life in that it expresses Maeterlink's philosophy of the human condition

One in the pantheon of my favorite books, I couldn't resist the pleasure of hand-typing (remember typewriters?) every delicious word on turn-of-the century french paper -- each page dipped in and then mounted on beeswax -- pinned to the curved wall -- pulled forward on the pins to let light wash the back, illuminating the writing

The wall is 8 x 10 feet and the installation consists of 240 beeswax panels
